A Short History of Pasadena Christian Center
Throughout its'
seventy-eight year history, Pasadena Christian Center has been a warm,
friendly place that had at its core a commitment to serve, pray, and
give not only to each other but also to our community.
Our Early Beginning
Trinity Full Gospel Tabernacle first started in 1929 when Roxie Alford and her husband left the Foursquare denomination and started an independent work. Soon after, in 1930 the church joined the Assemblies of God where the Alford's were both licensed. In the 1940's the church purchased land on N. Oak Knoll Avenue and built. After building at its new location the church changed its name to Trinity Assembly of God which was its name until it was changed to Pasadena Christian Center in 1995.
Our New Beginning
In 2001 the church sold its property N. Oak Knoll Ave. and relocated to its current home in the Old Colorado Theater at 2588 E. Colorado Blvd. The move was in essence a new birth for the historical church, and brought vitality and renewal to the congregation. The new home brought a contemporary setting that has allowed the non-traditional congregation to prosper.
